Fall has officially arrived, isn't it a beautiful day?
Today I am going to talk about a sidewalk project, the back kitchen stoop is nice, however I wanted a sidewalk to go over into the side yard, so this is what I came up with
Made by Quikrete, these forms are awesome, they come in different shapes and patterns, I liked this one, you can get these at most home improvement stores or even garden centers

Just follow those directions and you too can have a neato sidewalk

after you step off of the back porch stoop it went immediately into gravel for the driveway area, I didn't like that so started right there and headed along the house to the left, ended up by the side yard, eventually I want to run this clear around that end of the house to connect with the front porch area
I worked on this one day, while hubby was at work (before he could tell me NO ha ha)
it's a mess, but it does get pretty, just keep watching
you can see it's come a little further since last post, don't mind the mess, I get messy and drag stuff out everywhere when I am working on a project
it will be going to the end and under that cattle panel arch I put up for vines, then I want to eventually tie into it and turn it left and head around that side of the house
but that's all the time I had to get finished for now, and the critters wanted to visit instead of work
and what about my box turtle, he is an eastern box turtle (Terrapene carolina), he lives in one of my gardens, he is thinking it's nearly time to head underground for the winter - usually the box turtles dig down and hibernate before November here, they usually emerge late April-ish the following year
My box turtle's name is Jack, I also have a Jill somewhere hiding in there, you can know that this one is male by looking at the eyes, males have red eyes, whereas females usually have brown or light orange eyes :)
